Porridge

One great thing about Burn Days is porridge.  I love it.  And while you can get a microwave 2 minute version (be sure only the plain one), it’s much nicer if you cook it through the proper way.  Here’s how, with added bran!

Add two big tablespoons of rolled porridge oats and 2 tablespoons of oatbran to a pan. Cover with about 1/3 to ½ pint of water and simmer very gently for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.  Spoon into your bowl and pour on a little skimmed milk.

Yummy, filling, and healthy.
