Minimum Muesli

This is your first choice, no time, everyday, Fast day breakfast.  It’s like instant, diet Bircher Muesli (just without any of the nice sweet stuff!).  But it gives you some energy, protein and the all important roughage of oatbran.

You should start every Fast Day with this, unless you make a Brancake out of it.

For one person...

  • 2 tablespoons of oatbran
  • 1 tablespoon of rolled porridge oats
  • a drop of fully skimmed milk
  • 2 tablespoons of no-fat yoghurt

Spoon two tablespoons of oatbran and a tablespoon of rolled porridge oats into a cereal bowl.  Add a tiny drop of milk to soften them and mix up to a paste with your spoon.  Leave for five minutes if you have time.  Don’t, if you don’t.  Add two tablespoons of no-fat yoghurt, mix again and eat.

Super Fast

For an ultimate Fast day, leave out the rolled porridge oats.  I find they help give a bit of sustaining bulk so I use them most of the time but if you're looking for that extra push then you can just make a really simple version with just the milk softened oatbran and yoghurt. 

Super Super Fast

Take two tablespoons of oatbran.  Stir in two tablespoons of no-fat yoghurt.  Mix and eat.
